New Zoonotic Disease?
After arriving in Nebraska from a weekend trip to Las Vegas a local man has reported an abnormal grouping of symptoms never seen in United States medical history. Reported symptoms include but are not limited to: migraines, nausea, memory loss, groin irritation, and most confounding, blueish-black marks on the neck, resembling bruises. The patient supposedly first presented these symptoms the morning before flying back to his home in Nebraska. Upon arrival, the man’s wife was very concerned and urged her husband to go to urgent care after hearing what he had done the night before. We have not been able to reach the patient for comment, but according to his wife, her husband told her that he had been visiting the Las Vegas Zoo prior to experiencing his symptoms. At the zoo, he had supposedly been feeding the giraffes and thinks he may have caught something from the encounter. We have confirmed that this patient is not a doctor, but according to his wife, he believes he may have a new strain of pox that he dubs Giraffe Pox. We will update this story as more details emerge.
